Department Manager - Mining And Metals Processes - Senior

We are looking for Department Manager for Mining and Metals Processes. That person will develop and implement market strategies with the Toronto Office Director and BBA leaders in other core discipline functions to stimulate growth in the Mining and Metals Processes group.

• Lead and coordinate consulting services in the mining and metals processes sectors
• Be a leading member of a multidisciplinary team of skilled engineers, designers and project support staff preparing proposals, studies, reports, plans, designs, cost estimates and specifications
• Carry out/delegate the senior technical review of studies for mining and metals processes
• Actively participate in business development by identifying opportunities and growing the client base
• Represent BBA at conferences and professional association meetings in the field of mining and metallurgy
• Coordinate with other senior technical staff to share information, identify market trends and develop a network of global resources to support projects, as necessary
• Oversee management of business development budgets for the metallurgical engineering sector
• Identify and support continuous learning and training activities

Your Key Skills And Certifications

• Experience in budgeting, estimating and scheduling, with financial modeling skills being an asset
• Knowledge of the reporting guidelines for the Canadian National Instrument 43-101 standard
• + 15 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering and/or in assessing projects and staff management
• Asset: Bilingualism (English, French)
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mineral Processing or in Metallurgy from a recognized university
• Occasional travel to domestic or international destinations
• Knowledge and experience in mineral processing and metallurgical extraction processes as well as in performing operating and capital cost estimates
• Engineering Licence in at least one Province
