Senior Project Manager (Owner's Representative)

Harbinger Network has partnered with a very established industrial developer in their search for a Senior Project Manager with prior experience in industrial warehouse/distribution centres.

As an Owners Representative, you will provide technical oversight and guidance on the development and building of remarkable industrial buildings across the GTA while fostering enduring relationships with the team, partners and major stakeholders. Our client has been in the Commercial and Industrial Development sector for well over 50 years. What you will do as a Senior Project Manager (Owners Representative):

• Prepare and manage full tender packages and scope of work. As well, prepare detailed tender analysis and validate quotations in reference to the scope of work, quantities, etc.
• Advise the various stakeholders and team of potential problems and assist in resolving the issues.
• Provide mentorship to Project Coordinators and other team members.
• Ensure sub-trades are meeting scheduled target dates and provide feedback to the project team on any scheduling concerns.
• Work in collaboration with external construction management partners to create and maintain an environment of open communication to ensure team success.
• Create, manage, price, develop, communicate and integrate change orders.
• Provide support to the Project Director, Project Manager, Field Team, etc.
• Regularly chair site meetings, and issue meeting minutes
• The Senior Project Manager will be given the opportunity to negotiate contracts prior to awards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of contract terms and financials related to a construction project
• Experience with Procore, Textura, Microsoft Excel & Project is an asset
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Strong Architectural & Civil knowledge, with a basic concept of MEP systems.
• An engineering degree or technical diploma in Construction, Building, Civil or Architecture
