Job Description
Our Financial client in Toronto, Ontario is looking to hire a Project Manager – Senior for a 6-months contract role..


What You Will Be Doing…


  • Partners with multi-departmental leadership and other stakeholders to locate opportunities and develop and prioritize projects according to relevant criteria
  • Defines and develops project management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals
  • Provides project administration (Issues log, change requests, decision log). Maintains records for project plans, document management, change and problem tracking. Maintains and reports project status of actions, issues, risks for meeting budget and time goals
  • Arranges for the assignment of responsibility to other supporting facilities, business areas, functions and monitors their performance
  • Supervises activities of high sized multi-disciplinary team.
  • Directs corrective actions in any area where performance falls below objectives
  • Manages and executes project set-up activities
  • Lead project teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle


What You Will Need To Succeed…


Must have Skills:


  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules including working team and executive views
  • Highly motivated, an independent thinker and has a proven track record of setting and meeting aggressive goals and actions plans, both as an individual and with a team
  • Detailed planning and managing of national technology rollouts which impact end users
  • Physical building security rollouts
  • Strong analytical, financial and balanced decision-making skills
  • Partnering with 3rd party software as a service/integration partner
  • Preference to candidates who have experience with
  • Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in the application of project management methodologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite, including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
  • Proven ability to establish and build healthy working relationships and partnerships with technology business leaders/sponsors, peers, clients and team will work transparently and cooperatively with cross-functional teams, effectively engaging all pertinent stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Proven experience in delivering complex projects with multiple technical and business workstreams and involving multiple departments, vendors, external partners in the delivery of solutions requiring integration of multiple tools and technologies
  • 7 to 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager working collaboratively as part of cross functional team
  • Adheres to the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and sets a positive example for others
  • Demonstrates appropriate flexibility in all situations and will be comfortable with ambiguity, while pivoting from macro to micro issues, from shaping the strategy agenda through to the day-to-day
  • Advanced communication, negotiation, influencing and facilitation skills; ability to create ‘win-win’ outcomes and to obtain support of executive-level management and elicit cooperation and consensus across the business; demonstrated ability to collaborate as well as lead across a matrix organization to execute on strategies, influence change and deliver results
  • BA in relevant field
  • Demonstrates change leadership by successfully guiding the organization through change, while maintaining focus, intensity and team cohesion


Nice-To-Have Skills


  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
  • PMP – Project Management Professional certification
