Carry out pre-qualifications of suppliers and contractors.

Create purchase orders/contracts and manage changes/addenda and revisions.

Good communication skills, tact and diplomacy

Skilled at managing priorities well

Assemble and issue tender documents.

Coordinate the receipt, opening and analysis of proposals.

Experience analyzing, researching and preparing technical reviews and/or reports;

Experience working cooperatively as team lead or as part of a team;

Experience working with assessment, mining and environmental legislation, regulations and policies;

Experience engaging with First Nation governments, non-governmental organizations and the public;

Experience working with the Umbrella Final Agreement and Yukon First Nation Agreements would be considered an asset.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, both written and oral

Collecting information and presenting optimal practices to management.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or STEM.

Proven experience as a tax accountant, tax analyst, or similar role.

Fluency in Spanish is an asset but not requirement

Completion of a diploma or degree in a certified project management program is considered an asset

Ensure project requirements for permits, licenses and regulatory agency approvals are met and up to date

Must have at least 10 years increasing responsibility as a project manager

Experience in managing greenfield, or large brownfield projects is required ($100Mn-$1 Bn)

Completed post-secondary education with a focus in mining or operations management

Experience planning and organization skills with the ability to manage often competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline drive environment

Knowledgeable with Microsoft applications along with strong computer skills

As a Mining Operations Manager, YOU will experience:

Minimum 5 years operational experience, preferably in a mining operation

+ 15 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering and/or in assessing projects and staff management

Oversee management of business development budgets for the metallurgical engineering sector

Knowledge and experience in mineral processing and metallurgical extraction processes as well as in performing operating and capital cost estimates

Experience in budgeting, estimating and scheduling, with financial modeling skills being an asset

Knowledge of the reporting guidelines for the Canadian National Instrument 43-101 standard
