• LOCATION: Remote - Work from anywhere (TimeZone: CST | Full day overlap)
• JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)
• ESTIMATED DURATION: 40h/week - Long term
• HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $55 – $75/hr

THE OPPORTUNITY
Requirements

• Working knowledge of various data platforms, such as Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL server, cloud services
• At least 5 years of dashboard design and data analysis experience
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the client’s organization
• Proven success leading a team in the development of reports and visualizations
• Experience with visualization software: Tableau, Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, Birst, QlikView etc.
• Hands-on experience with ETL, ELT, data ingestion, or munging

What you’ll be working on
Data Visualization Developer
Our client is seeking an experienced data visualization developer to join their team for a short team project around data dashboards.
Project Outline

• Propose software tools that would meet the data visualization strategy requirements
• Build the data visualization dashboard for leadership
• Work with the team to create the needed processes for data collection
• Based on the pod needs create a data visualization strategy
• Meet with product pods to collect their data visualization needs
• Build data visualization dashboards for each pod and present, adjust as needed
• Throughout the process document each step
• Work with leadership to create a data visualization strategy for management

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineering, to develop end to end reporting solutions
• Optimize reports to ensure a responsive solution when visualization vast amounts of data
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders to distill data and reporting requirements
• Make recommendations regarding visualization optimization, implementation, testing, productionalizing
• Visualize and calculate metrics, KPIs from various data sources
• Create documentation for best practices, training, and maintenance
• Explore data to design, develop, and test dashboard solutions
• Incorporate performance and data quality considerations into visualization planning and delivery
