Job Description

Summary:

Our client is looking for a OneStream Specialist. This position reports to the Director of Financial Systems and is responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting the OneStream system and other financial systems within our client’s company. The right candidate will collaborate closely with the Corporate Finance and Business Operations group to ensure the development of application models, user access, system stability, training, and prompt resolution of financial accounting and reporting issues. Additionally, this role supports the Financial Systems Manager in investigations, documentation, testing, education, and problem-solving for financial systems projects, while also performing technical and analytical functions to ensure smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in investigations, documentation, testing, education, and problem-solving related to financial systems projects, as assigned by the Financial Systems Manager.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by developing and refining month-end processes to streamline procedures and create efficiencies that enable timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Defining and documenting customer business functions and processes.
  • Responsible for supporting the achievement of Service Level Expectations (SLE) for supported applications.
  • Assist Business with forecast cycle through preparation and updates of budget templates
  • Ensure compliance with and maintain internal controls documentation for information technology and governance control (ITGC) review.
  • Maintenance and some development of critical business systems such as NetSuite, Oracle PBCS, MS Dynamics GP 2015, and a modern Azure data warehouse and tabular model with Power BI.
  • Developing and maintaining an effective work intake and management process.
  • Testing software based on our client’s best practices and specifications.
  • Following the development, and release of processes, procedures, and systems required to accomplish goals.
  • Documenting stakeholder requirements and collaborating with all necessary stakeholders to determine scope items.
  • Participate in the harmonization of disparate ERP systems to one singular platform for areas not currently on NetSuite
  • Assist in the creation and set up of corporate financial reporting packages from the various systems
  • Involvement in the implementation and rollout of OneStream Consolidation, Planning, and Reporting


Requirements:


  • Experience with OneStream is a must, OneStream Integration with NetSuite
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated team player with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Aptitude to understand and resolve complex issues, and excellent customer-service skills.
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a co-op student.
  • A results-oriented team player with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite (ERP), Oracle Hyperion EPM or similar planning and consolidation tools, Power BI, and/or MS SQL Server considered an asset.
  • 2+ years of IT experience working as a Functional, Data, Application or Business Analyst.
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field.
  • Solid understanding of business processes and supporting technologies.
  • Ability to make decisions, participate and help facilitate organizational change.
  • Ability to see areas for process improvement.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines.
