As Quotation Specialist, you will provide Quotation for Engineered drives and low voltage motors. Functionally reporting to the Application engineering lead, you will play an instrumental role in technically.

supporting the pre and post sales activities for the Drives business in Canada. You will be passionate about exceeding customer expectations and working with a sense of urgency. Your role will involve:

• The analysis of customer requirements and relating these requirements to the application using the VFD and motor product portfolio
• Working closely with Siemens Sales Organization and Siemens Solution Partners, to demonstrate technical features and benefits of Siemens Drives portfolio.
• Your understanding of our value-added service offerings is paramount in partnering with customers to further understand their needs in order to provide them with a technical Consultative solution

What will you do?

• Ability to understand Electrical and Electronics Engineering Terminology/specifications and translate this to the quote preparation.
• Ability to handle multiplier projects at the same time and co-ordinate with vendors, internal and external customers.
• Prepare project hand over documentation and support order managements during project execution.
• Understand customer’s technical requirements and develop Bill of Material of products and work with Panel shops and Siemens factories to develop final quotation.
• Engage with our target market segments and continually work to improve technical skills and knowledge.
• Answer Customer’s Technical questions and provide necessary Technical and commercial clarifications.
• Technically represent and interface with Siemens HQ and Competence center on complex customer projects

What will you need to succeed?

• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Knowledge on Quotation preparation experience with Drives and motors will be an asset
• Knowledge of Industrial applications will be beneficial
• Strong knowledge in Electrical and Electronics theory
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred
• Must be able to understand various steps within project process
