THE OPPORTUNITY
About the Company Our client a leading private equity firm comprised of experienced investors and executives who invest in and manage a diverse group of media and communications enterprises. They approach their investments in collaboration with management teams and have a successful track record of actively adding value to portfolio companies. They are open to remote work anywhere in the world as long as there are 2+ hours of overlap with Central and Eastern time in the United States. 6-month project to start. Primary Responsibilities

• Tackle abstract issues and solve complex problems with a structured data-driven approach.
• Use data to drive strategy and improve operations. Use SQL, Python, and other programs to gather, clean, and analyze data.
• Create reporting dashboards and compelling data visualizations that help communicate your findings to non-technical audiences.
• Work collaboratively with internal resources to help define and refine their requirements for dashboards and reporting
• Support the build and maintenance of their data storage systems and/or datacubes
• Set up repeatable processes to extract, transform, and load using a point-and-click tool from their core business operations systems to their data warehouse.

Minimum skills and qualifications

• Must have experience with Azure SQL and BigQuery
• Requires prior experience with BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik or Looker; PowerBI is preferred.
• Ability to express complex data and relationships in straight-forward BI dashboards and reports
• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, or computer science.
• Interest in applying technology systems to business processes.

What you’ll be working on They are looking for a BI developer/data analyst who can work with us and their portfolio companies to leverage information from their business systems that have been consolidated into Azure SQL and BigQuery databases and build BI dashboards and reports that allow them to drive and monitor their businesses. It is important that you can communicate well with non-technical team members, and serve as both a BI developer and business analyst.
