Job Description
49 Solutions is looking for an Intermediate Programmer/Software Developer with a specialization in MS Power BI to support various IM/IT projects at Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The chosen candidate will utilize MS Power BI to develop reporting features and implement the new reporting requirements on DFO’s new Cloud platforms. Please see below for the requirements.

Deliverables


  • Report curation, data visualizations and insights;
  • Deploy required tools to facilitate analytics and business intelligence; and
  • Knowledge Transfer of material to DFO staff in order to facilitate management and future developments of the tool.
  • Design, develop test and deploy Microsoft Power BI reports, dashboards, and Applications;


Requirements


  • 5 years of experience within the last 8 years as a Programmer/Software Developer with a specialization in MS Power BI;
  • 4 years of experience within the last 8 years building interactive dashboards with drill-down capabilities using MS Power BI and deploying the solutions to a MS Azure Cloud environment;
  • 3 years of experience within the last 8 years building analytics tools using MS Power BI that integrate information from multiple data sources; and
  • 2 separate client references from Canadian government organizations at the federal, provincial or municipal levels as a contracted resource for work as a Programmer/Software Developer Level 2 specializing in MS Power BI within the last 5 years;
  • Valid Reliability Security Clearance
