QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary:
We seek a Strong Construction Coordinator who will oversee the construction projects from planning to completion. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and experience in project coordination.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Manage the project budget, schedule, and quality control.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and construction documentation.
Review and approve contractor bids and contracts.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify any potential issues.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Resolve any conflicts or problems that arise during the construction process.
Develop and implement strategies to improve construction efficiency and quality.
Oversee the closeout process, including completing all necessary documentation and warranties.
Requirements:
BaBachelor’segree in construction management or a related field.
3+ years of experience in construction project management.
Strong knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and procedures.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Proficient in project management software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Previous experience in Highrise projects would be preferred.
Reliable and able to work independently despite pressure to meet strict construction deadlines.
Solid understanding of the significant Vancouver construction market, including current market prices, and working experience with engineers, architects, property managers, Builders and Developers.
Understanding of AutoCAD, Revit, Good computer skills, BIM, and Architectural related Software.
REPORTS TO: Operations of Construction
SALARY: Competitive package and negotiable according to experience. Plus bonuses n perks.
LOCATION: Primarily in Surrey,, B.C, must be able to travel to different places as and when required.
