About The Opportunity

Our Public Sector client requires the assistance of a Computer Application Support Specialist to Work within classified systems to provide Power BI and Azure SME support to Analytical Support Centre (ASC) Managers and citizen analysts/users. This includes verifying and validating data and information both inside and outside the enclave, including but not limited to DRMIS, CRM, HR, SharePoint and other information and data and the usage of same. ADM (DTO) is not focused on a single Analytics tool but intends to make use of Mainly Power BI and the Azure Data platform, but also to continue leveraging SAP BOBJ, Web Intelligence (WebI), and other tools as the Enterprise Presentation toolset. The CAS Specialist will also leverage several Data Manipulation tools such as DAX, Power Query (M), Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SSIS, SSAS, Microsoft Power Platform and custom Python libraries to be able to support all kind of scenarios (i.e. Data residing in unstructured/structured files, Stream data, etc.)

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Develop integrations and use various connectors to connect disparate systems to Power Platform applications
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
• Prepare an assessment of the current state related to the prioritized Use Case and detail technical/functional requirements
• Plan, execute and document testing relating to the developed analytics reporting solutionn
• Provide expertise in the configuration and administration of Dataverse (CDS), Power Apps, and business process automation
• Create, modify and implement ETL/ELT packages and workflows, develop report architecture and custom report designs used for Analytics reporting
• Deliver Analytics solutions to prioritized Use Cases, leveraging Microsoft’s PowerApps, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, custom development, and data integrations
• Build and support competency and skill sets in the space
• Provide hands-on technical expertise to design and implement Power Platform and Azure based solutions satisfying customer requirements
• Communicate through either regular meetings (daily stand-ups) or status reports on the status of assigned work activities as well as report potential issues or risks
• Provide data and results to the PM on an ongoing basis and summarize the work under the Task in the FY Summary Report
• Gather, analyze, verify, and validate Source Data
• Recommend and guide development of APIs for Line of Business applications that do not have native connectors
• Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
• Help guide teams to effectively use Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agent) as well as Microsoft Azure Cloud (portal, analytics services, DevOps, etc.)
• Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models while following industry best practices in terms of performance (leverage advanced PowerQuery M, DAX, etc. to avoid inefficient relationships…)
• Create and modify Power BI Analytics reports and dashboards based on requirements from stakeholders

About You

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Valid Secret level II security clearance at the time of bid closing
• Expertise with Azure Data Factory and Databricks, with a large Government of Canada Department (over 1,000 employees); or private sector with the same criteria (large organization), developing apps, forms and workflows leveraging Power Platform
• Developing processes to automate ingesting and transforming data
• 7+ years experience creating, modifying and implementing ETL/ELT packages and workflows, developing report architecture and custom report designs used for Analytics reporting
• 7+ years experience implementing security, privacy, and governance policies as they relate to Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI) and Microsoft Azure Cloud
• 7+ years experience in writing comprehensive documentation and workflows relating to Power App, Power BI and Data Management projects on Azure Cloud
• Developing Power BI dashboards and reports and administering PBI through the ADMIN PORTAL
• 7+ years experience implementing, testing, modifying Microsoft Power Platform configurations, including Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps
• Certificate, diploma, or degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.(Proof of Education is required)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the last 48 months performing the following:
• 10+ years of experience delivering analytics and business intelligence solutions
• 7+ years experience responding to client requests for Power BI and Azure platform assistance
• English communication skills
• 7+ years experience creating solution components, including application enhancements, custom user experience, system integration, data conversions, custom process automation, and custom visualizations leveraging Microsoft Power platform
• 5 years of experience in the last 6 years as a Microsoft Power BI Developer, on a minimum of 3 separate client engagements (each client engagement must be a minimum of 10 months) with a large Government of Canada department (over 1,000 employees); or private sector with the same criteria (large organization), designing and implementing data models and data pipelines for use in advanced data analytics solutions to support enterprise-level analytics
