Create Solutions that will enable a better tomorrow
To shape a future where people and societies grow and flourish, we are looking for a Communications & Events Assistant to join our team. The objective of this role is to support the delivery of communications and events activity which raises the profile and enhances public opinion of the Lower Thames Crossing.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Support the delivery of the Lower Thames Crossing Communications and Engagement strategy
  • To protect and enhance the reputation of National Highways and the Lower Thames Crossing project
  • Produce high quality written content for stakeholder, community, and media audience, including briefings, presentations, press releases, statements and social media content

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners, or customers. On top of that, you’ll have:

  • A willingness to work in a high pressure, politicised communications environment
  • An understanding of what’s required of working in an integrated communications team in the infrastructure, transport, or public service industries.
  • An ability to work with internal teams and external agencies to develop communications materials
  • Ability to build strong relationships with wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills & exceptional interpersonal skills
  • An excellent writing, proofing, and editing skills & eye for detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and work to tight deadlines
