As an experienced CNC Machine Operator, you will hold a critical role within the production team, ensuring the manufacturing process runs smoothly and produces completed products to specifications and quality standards. You are responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines used at our manufacturing facility to produce precise and complex components and ensuring the CNC machines are set up correctly, programmed accurately, and operated safely and efficiently.

Location: On-site full-time in Delta, BC Manufacturing Facility


Work Hours: Day Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm


Wage: $25 - $35 per hour, dependent on experience


We are accepting applications from within the lower mainland, BC, only.


Education & Qualifications, Required:


  • Highschool graduation is an asset


Nice to Haves, but can be certified on the job:


  • Level 1 or 2 Occupational First Aid certification
  • WHIMS
  • Class I forklift license
Skills & Experience, Required:


  • 3+ years of experience working as an operator for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinery, preferably with wood
  • Understanding of machine operations safety.
  • Able to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical issues that may arise during operation.
  • Able to follow instructions and complete work tasks on schedule with clear timelines.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical concepts
  • Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully both internally and externally


Nice to Haves:


  • Experience with prefabrication of mass timber panels and modules, including finishing.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience with manual & digitally assisted mass timber construction tasks


The Role & Responsibilities - Production Worker:


  • Communicate with other members of the manufacturing team, to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.  
  • Comply with all health and safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Contribute to team efforts.
  • Verifying conformance to part specifications using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve quality, and reduce waste
  • Monitoring the CNC machine's performance and adjusting settings as needed to ensure that the finished product meets the desired specifications.
  • Complete other duties as we may request which are consistent with your abilities and responsibilities
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on the CNC machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and other specifications to determine the correct settings and programming for the CNC machine.
  • Ensure all machines you have operated on are shut down by the end of the production day.
  • Setting up and configuring the CNC machine, including loading and unloading raw materials and tools.
  • Comply with our administrative policies and procedures as set forth from time to time
  • Conduct QC on machine-cut parts to ensure accuracy to the specified drawings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area

Physical Demands:


  • Standing for long periods of time, 8 hours or more
  • Standing or walking for extended periods of time
  • Climbing stairs or ladders
  • Repetitive motions such as; bending, stooping, kneeling and reaching, including above and below the shoulder, pushing, pulling and twisting,
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to Operate Machinery, assemble components and use hand and power tools
  • Lifting and carrying heavy objects, sometimes up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:


  • Exposed to machine noise, dust, chemicals and/or fumes
  • Working at heights
  • Ability to work near moving equipment in a production environment
Safety Requirements:


  • When on the production floor, wear appropriate protective equipment, such as a hard hat, hearing protection, safety work boots, and safety glasses
