LMI Machine Group is a very friendly and motivated Team who works together daily to diligently produce high quality parts for our assembly team at HQ.

What will you do as an Machine Operator?

Our Machine Operators are responsible to ensure all processes and procedures are followed to ensure high quality parts are produced and within the time allotted to perform the duties required to meet the specifications.

You will be working closely with your manager and co-workers in order to understand the requirements of routine maintenance and how to change over and inspect parts.

To do well in this role you should be well organized and have good multitasking experience. We support cross training and encourage growth in all our co-workers.

• Use of hand tools for finishing activities such as deburring or filing.
• Use of appropriate precision inspection equipment to measure tolerances.
• Interface with machine controller as required to execute tasks.
• Treat and use all equipment (tools, measuring devices, computers, etc) with care.
• Routine maintenance on the machine as outlined.
• Provides feedback and improvement suggestions on how to improve processes, fixturing, or programs when possible.
• Maintains a clean working area.
• Read drawings and execute inspection procedures to ensure part specifications are being met.
• Promptly initiates quality processes for non-conforming parts, and follows procedures to control those components.
• Ensures quality of part meets customer specifications, and raises concerns when required.
• Once set, load and unload components according to procedure established.
• Proactively contributes and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to calibration and quality procedures and processes.

What do you need to be successful?

• Must work well in a team environment.
• Must be well organized and have good multitasking experience.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Multi-tasking, organizing and time management skills required.
• Mechanically inclined, skilled in using hand tools.
