Do you have experience working with Sheet Metal in a manufacturing environment? We have a permanent Metal Machine Operator opportunity with one of the world's largest systems suppliers for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors!
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for manufacturing sheet metal as per drawings. If youhave experience operating any of the below machines, we want to hear from you!!
Position: Full-time Permanent
Role: Sheet Metal Worker/Machine Operator
Location: Richmond BC
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Shift Time: Morning; 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Pay rate: $26/hr
Public transit friendly!
Steel-toe boots are required
Must be legally permitted to work in BC

- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE USING; coil core, power shear/press brake, CNC punching machine, return bend machine, foaming machine, cutting machine, hydraulic punching machines, and rolls

- Operate Clamp or Overhead Crane as required
- Prepare and manufacture sheet metal for assemblers according to the supplied drawings
- Operating various machines to cut our pieces of sheet metal including; coil core, power shear/press brake, CNC punching machine, return bend machine, foaming machine, cutting machine, hydraulic punching machines and rolls
- Ability to prioritize and understand what needs to be done first based on drawings
- Use a variety of measuring tools to transfer the drawings onto the sheet metal
- Adaptable and reliable
- Can provide valid work references
- Experience with operating Clamp Forklifts and Overhead cranes
- Excellent English speaking, reading, and understanding
- Keen attention to detail for quality control and ensuring everything meets requirements
- Strong mechanical, technical, and mathematical skills
- Legally permitted to work in BC, Canada
- Knowledge of safe working practices and procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience with using a variety of machines such as power shear, press brake, rolling machine, drilling machine and/or CNC punching machines
- Able to read technical drawings
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
