ember is looking for a proven startup CTO to help lead our team.

ember is seeking a CTO with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record in start-ups to join our team. As CTO, you will be responsible for driving development efforts and technical leadership and strategy to help enhance our network of interactive passenger entertainment screens with an integrated POS installed in taxis & ridesharing. You will work closely with the CEO and existing developer resources to increase the velocity of development and resiliency of our platform.

This is currently a share based compensation roll. Exact equity will be determined base on experience and competencies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain ember's technology infrastructure, including front-end development using React Native and deploying it as an iOS (iPad) application, primarily PHP back-end, mySQL database, iCabbi taxi-dispatching system integration, Stripe hardware & payments integration, Firebase (notifications), and Google Ad Manager integration.

Collaborate with the CEO and existing developer resources to increase the velocity of development and resiliency of our platform.

Represent the technology group in internal strategy and external partner/client sessions.

Build out ember's development team in the medium to long term.

Work on technical leadership and strategy, with a focus on innovation, scalability, and efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

5+ years of experience as a full stack developer, with a proven track record in start-ups.

Strong experience in PHP, React Native, mySQL, and integrating with third-party APIs.

Experience with Stripe hardware and payments integration.

Experience with Firebase notifications and Google Ad Manager integration is preferred.

Familiarity with iCabbi taxi-dispatching system integration is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.

Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
