The Opportunity:Interim Chief of Staff to the CEO (6-month Contract)
CEO’s Office Overview
The CEO is responsible for implementing the strategic plan for the company, as laid out by the Board of Directors. The office has oversight of all departments, including Product & Engineering, Marketing, Business Development, and Operations.

The Chief of Staff is a talented, motivated, organized, and analytic individual who thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead both operational and strategic projects, be a trusted adviser, serve as a sounding board to inform and, if necessary, challenge decisions. You will promote efficient execution across teams, being the 'connective tissue' that links our efforts to our strategy. You have experience working with senior executives, and the ability to work with a variety of teams and organizations.
- A high attention to detail for your and others’ work. You pay attention to all the moving parts and their implications.
- Manage logistics, create presentations, organize files and records, and communicate on the CEO’s behalf.
- Bring decision points and status updates to the CEO, with your recommendations on the best path forward.
- Thrive in a fast paced, complex, high pressure, and dynamic environment.
- Proactive, and always thinking five steps ahead. If you don’t have the answer, you take initiative to figure it out. A natural organizer. You enjoy making complex tasks simple.
- Create decision-making frameworks. Manage goal setting and annual planning processes.
- Represent the CEO at a variety of meetings with the senior management team, other staff members, and externally.
- Manage organizational priorities. Lead implementation of strategic plan.
- Act as the CEO’s “eyes and ears,” and develop healthy working relationships with all of the Departments in the company.
- Prepare agendas, take notes, and assign action items at key cross-functional meetings.
Skills Required:
- Experience with: Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Keynote, G Suite.
- Adept at multitasking, managing time effectively, communicating clearly and succinctly.
- You are a fast learner, able to understand new concepts and processes easily.
- You are able to understand the work required, prioritize that work, and complete it on time and with a high degree of quality.
- You are a “go-getter” with a strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Bonus if you have experience with: Assisting C-suite executives
Years of Experience:
·4-5 years of workexperience, preferably in business, politics, startups, or related fields.
