Our Client:

EnerQuality is Canada’s #1 certifier of energy-efficient homes and the market leader in residential building programs. Founded in 1998 as a partnership between the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) and the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance (CEEA), EnerQuality’s mission is to accelerate housing innovation to improve building performance. Notable programs include building certification including ENERGY STAR® (ES) for New Homes (Low-Rise) and Multifamily (Mid/High-Rise), the Canadian Home Builders Association Net Zero suite, and the Job Ready program providing training and mentoring for new entrants to the construction industry.

Position Overview:

EnerQuality is expecting to significantly expand their market share over the next 5 years. A key leader in this expansion is the Chief Revenue Officer. The Chief Revenue Officer will be responsible for scaling EnerQuality’s current revenue base, expanding the reach of existing products/services, capitalizing on new market opportunities and cultivating strategic relationships with their partners.

This is an attractive opportunity for a growth-minded & market-facing leader who is skilled at setting a strong product/services vision, telling a compelling story in the market, and driving new revenue growth. The individual will understand how to develop and implement a value proposition. The CRO will be passionately committed to providing market-leading products, services, and programs to their customers with a drive for continuous growth and impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as chief customer and product evangelist with key customers and partners
  • Enhance customer experience through expanding digital channels and technology, and working to create new innovative products that meet customer needs and drive growth.
  • Lead the development of marketing campaigns. This includes developing and implementing plans and strategies, service concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to EnerQuality’s product development processes, providing expertise to the innovation cycle and supporting the incubator.
  • Build the value proposition for the current and new products.
  • Work closely with the Executive Team and Board to craft and communicate EnerQuality’s vision and then transform that vision into a long-term strategy for pioneering new products, services, markets, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to attract new clients and sources of revenue.
  • Ability to establish credibility and influence industry leaders and business partners.
  • 10+ years of sales/business development experience, an asset if within the building/construction sector.
  • Experience developing relationships with high-level decision-makers.
  • Experience developing market entry strategies for new markets within Ontario would be an asset.
  • A collaborative, curious, innovative, solutions-driven individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • High-energy performer with an in-depth knowledge of what it takes to sell in the industry and build lasting partnerships.
