As CF-18 ISMP Technical Lead at L3 MAS you will:

Work in the Systems/Specialties group for the military CF-18 Program. The candidate will lead in the technical assessment of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CF-18 maintenance program as part of the In-service Monitoring Program (ISMP). The candidate will monitor, prioritize and manage the activities necessary to assure continuing airworthiness of CF-18 fleet mechanical and electrical systems as delegated by Canadian Department of National Defense (DND).

The ideal Candidate would be able to:

• Develop mechanical system and Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) modifications, inspections, standard repairs, changes to the approved maintenance plan and installation work instructions, procedures and recommendations;
• Provide technical support and engineering disposition in order to restore the structural integrity and the systems performance of the damaged structures/systems. The solutions must be in accordance with the customer's requirements, military (MIL-STD or other), civil (FAR, TC), and / or corporate standards in place;
• Support/participate in integration tests on the system; develop test scripts;
• Provide detailed evaluation of the reliability impact of proposed design changes per ARP4761 and / or MIL-STD-882E;
• Assess contributing factors of system safety and airworthiness degradations by launching a root cause analysis. Identify corrective actions to restore system Reliability;
• Actively work to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets quality requirements.
• Address maintenance snags and analyze them in relation to established design data, in-service experience and the resultant deterioration in the level of system safety;
• Prepare and check technical reports;
• Identify discrepancies and/or problems with drawings before releasing to production and implements corrective action to ensure the timely release;
