About your next Challenge as a Lead Structural Engineering :

CF-18 liaison engineer based at Bagotville. The main mandate is to: supervise the preparation of the anomalies / damage / wear observed by the inspectors and maintenance technicians at Bagotville; evaluate and participate in the design of fixes; validate through simple constraint analyses the viability of the proposed repairs; as well as to ensure reparation satisfaction in terms of airworthiness and customer requests. These tasks are in close relationship with engineers and airworthiness authorities in Mirabel.

The role also includes a large portion of liaison and support to technicians and supervisors on the floor.

What You Will Do:

• Participate in the airworthiness principles (classify or categorize damage (minor / major), sign minor damages as a navigability delegate;
• Validate the data provided by the inspectors and supervise the preparation of non-conformity reports (DRED);
• Analyze, using conventional calculation methods, the materials strength (metallic and composite);
• Support activities related to the incorporation of repairs and modifications;
• Design repair solutions to restore "fit, form and function" as well as the structural integrity of the damaged structure;
• Master the processes relating to liaison engineering, design and development of modifications and fleet management, in order to ensure compliance and be able to participate in their improvement.
• Read and understand manufacturing and modification drawings;
• Have a good knowledge of RCAF and DTAES organizations in order to be able to guide technical discussions with the customer and the airworthiness authorities.
• Investigate faulty or damaged components and assemblies to determine their causes;
• Act as an intermediary with the managers (engineering, technicians, etc), the aircraft maintenance / repair team and the engineering team for any derogation issues.
• Be a technical expert in the field of the CF-18 Liaison with MRB ENG and Airworthiness (DT) signing authorities.
• Interpret and integrate data, loading modes and safety factors according to established specifications and standards (MIL-STD, PS or others), and validate design criteria;
