Review and verify design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering drawings in accordance with applicable requirements, codes, and standards.

Specify technical and design requirements, as well as requirements for commissioning, installation, etc.

4+ years of experience in a design engineering role is considered an asset.

Working knowledge of nuclear plant equipment and systems, design basis, and nuclear safety principles is considered an asset.

Working knowledge of the nuclear engineering change/modification process considered an asset.

Proactive knowledge management allowing access to critical information as needed

Experienced in the integration of occupational and process safety management into design, fabrication and operations.

Comfortable working remotely and managing inputs from an experienced team of Discipline Engineers

Support to Sales through input to opportunity and proposal development, as well as providing expert product knowledge in customer engagements.

Enhance the breadth of Carbon Clean’s engineering capabilities, ensuring consistency of approach and best practice across engineering activities

Development of and input to engineering and product standards aligned to industry and market requirements

Identify project risk, plan mitigation, and work with product owners to manage project scope

Experience providing and consuming data from APIs

Advanced T-SQL knowledge (preferably with SQL Server 2014+)

Proven experience in backend development of large-scale applications using C#/.Net

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in order to investigate, root cause and resolve issues in a timely manner

Experience working cross-functionally with other engineers, product managers, and designers

Work with the product team to design, implement, track, and scale our consumer experience

5+ years of professional software engineering experience working fullstack across web and mobile applications with an emphasis on backend systems

Strong knowledge of how to design distributed systems and break apart architectures into iterative blocks instead of large waterfall projects

Previous experience working as an engineering lead or senior engineer with expertise in owning large scale systems

Previous experience working as a technical mentor to other engineers

Actively work to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets quality requirements.

Identify discrepancies and/or problems with drawings before releasing to production and implements corrective action to ensure the timely release;

Support/participate in integration tests on the system; develop test scripts;

Provide detailed evaluation of the reliability impact of proposed design changes per ARP4761 and / or MIL-STD-882E;

Prepare and check technical reports;

As CF-18 ISMP Technical Lead at L3 MAS you will:

Demonstrated leadership and management of 5-15 person teams

Managing multiple teams of software engineers with a multi-disciplinary skillset

Experience with Go, C++, Java or other high performing backend technologies

Experience with MySQL, MariaDB, Aerospike, Kafka or other database or data streaming technologies

Experience with front-end technologies and testing practices

Experience with building scaled and low latency services

People leadership experience is an advantage.

Organize, moderate and delegate engineering deliverables, design decisions and responsibilities daily.

Mobile experience is an asset

Experience driving business and consumer facing solutions from conception to launch and iterating through additional releases

Exceptional analytical, problem solving and strategy skills

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
