Summary
The Procurement Organization manages all aspects of sourcing & procurement within Bell Canada. The Procurement Department’s mission is to create value through its strategic role of providing best-in-class sourcing solutions while improving Bell Canada’s EBITDA through cost reductions. This is achieved through:

• Overall management of key outsourcing and sourcing arrangements to maximize value aligning with strategic evolution of supply chain and EBITDA objectives.
• The negotiation of agreements and other legal documents on behalf of Bell/BCE and its Supplier community, setting the terms and conditions for the provision of products and services to Bell/BCE while optimizing Bell’s opportunities for improvements to EBITDA through reduced costs.

Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a candidate to join Bell Canada’s Procurement and Value Creation Organization as Category Manager, reporting to the Sr. Manager of the Bell Wireline Network and Infrastructure Procurement team. The Procurement and Value Creation team’s primary focus is to significantly reduce the cost of doing business for Bell Canada to align with corporate priorities, objectives and internal customer needs through increased operational efficiency and productivity. This portfolio is considered a key enabler to meet business requirements.

• Manage, perform quality control, and generate reports on spend data and other key indicators as required
• Drive total cost of ownership reduction, through joint process improvements with supplier
• Manage a portfolio of commercial contracts and vendor relationships within the Wireline Network and Infrastructure procurement team
• Re-negotiate contracts in those situations not addressed by ‘strategic initiatives’
• Prepare / design presentation material for review at the senior management level
• Support strategic sourcing primes by assisting with spend analysis
• Recommend, develop, coordinate and implement best practice processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the work performed by Procurement
• Manage portfolio of commercial contracts and vendor relationships
• Continually identify leading practices from inside and outside of Bell for implementation/adoption
• Lead sourcing initiatives utilizing Bell systems in the distribution and management of RFI, RFQ and RFP
• Support the Procurement of Wireline Network and Infrastructure Products and Services in an efficient and flexible manner, based on business needs and category management principles

• Experience of general procurement /supply chain
• Superior communication skills, written and verbal
• University degree in Business Administration or related field
• Proven ability to create unique solutions to manage and/or analyze data
• Good business judgement and acumen
• Demonstrated and tenacious problem solver
• Ability to formulate negotiating strategies
• Knowledge of Bell’s various business units
• Excellent prioritization skills
• Strong listening and negotiation skills
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills
• Results orientation; resilience in face of complexity

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Bell Canada’s business units and management structure
• Bilingualism is an asset (English and French);
• Prior experience with Bell Canada’s SAP and Ariba systems
• Familiarity with spend analysis techniques
• Understanding and expertise in data manipulation, sorting and analysis tools (Excel, SAP, Ariba, Ivalua, etc.) is a strong asset
