Constellation R.O. Writer Inc. (ROW) is a leading automotive repair shop software business. ROW is a market leader with a long history of success in serving independent and franchises automotive repair shops. Their software helps shops increase efficiency, predictability, and profits. They are the preferred vendor for all Midas locations in the U.S. and are used in over 4,000 shops.


ROW was recently acquired by The Perseus Group, an operating group of Constellation Software Inc. Constellation, together with its subsidiaries, acquires, builds, and manages vertical market software businesses in the United States, Canada, Italy, Germany, India, United Kingdom, Brazil, and internationally. It is a public company and trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: CSU).


ROW is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) who is looking to take the next step in their career and grow within a successful company. The BDR will be joining the team at an exciting time as we continue to grow our leaderhsip position with the shop management software industry.


The Role


You will source, screen, schedule and help us sign new customers and sell more to existing customers. Ideally the candidate is a natural “hunter” who enjoys looking for new opportunities and testing out new prospecting tactics. Leads are generated from our marketing engine, trade shows and word of mouth.


The BDR team sits between our marketing team and our Account Executives. BDRs will work closely with both groups to facilitate new lead development and help Account Executives schedule and close deals.


What can you expect to do in the position?


  • Managing activities and data within our CRM
  • Scheduling and attending sales calls with ROW Account Executives
  • Establishing and building relationships with decision makers of prospects
  • Developing in depth industry and product knowledge
  • Proactively following up with shop owners


Qualifications


  • Strong experience with a CRM (Salesforce + Pardot preferred)
  • 2+ years of work experience in sales development (SDR, BDR, ADR or equivalent)
  • Analytical mindset: understands the value and insights from our metrics
  • Coachable mentality: appreciates and seeks out constructive feedback
  • Results driven, high energy, competitive
  • Sales Acumen: Strong oral communication skills, advanced cold calling skills (managing the gatekeeper and quickly establishing rapport), lead conversations off-script, comfortably interact with mature business owners.
