Business Analyst (Retail Technology)

This is Avanish from NLB Services. We are a global recruitment company with a specialization in hiring IT professionals. One of our clients is looking for a Business Analyst (Retail Technology) in Toronto / Vancouver / Seattle, WA.

Position: Business Analyst (Retail Technology)

Location: Toronto/Vancouver/Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

Type: Full-Time

Experience and Skillset:-

• Defines minimum feature set, acceptance criteria, and user acceptance tests
• Updates technical specs based on testing, prioritized defects, or post-release lessons learned
• Translates business requirements to functional and technical requirements
• Assists in testing and participates in test phases prior to UAT
• Supports communication for application/system deployment
• Contributes to the planning and implementation of new applications and systems
• Works to ensure application availability and SLAs for operational readiness
• Engages in design and impact assessments
• Engages with engineers to design/configure solutions
• Performs configuration of application components

Qualifications:-

• Experience in working with distributed Unix or Linux-based systems, J2EE Application Servers, clustered DB systems, and source control systems
• Ability to determine estimates of effort and impacts for a variety of solutions and influence technical discussions and decisions
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, interpersonal, and listening skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
• Challenges the status quo, champions change, and influences others to change
• Proven experience with application configuration
• Knowledge of various project lifecycle methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.)
• 3+ years of systems analysis experience
• Strong collaboration skills to achieve business goals collectively across broad teams
• Experience creating technical specifications and documentation for large, complex projects
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation, Docker & Container Management, Application Performance Engineering, Monitoring, performance, alerting, AWS Services, and Architecture
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous tasks and coordinate activities with a high sense of urgency
• Proven experience with system/application implementation
