On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to conduct comprehensive FHIR gap analysis, develop FHIR profiles, and create an implementation guide in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
• Develop plans for defining requirements complete with approach, stakeholders, schedules, and deliverables
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements using leading practice methods and tools
• Gather requirements for FHIR-based solutions
• Create deliverables such as FHIR Profiles (including patient summary), Implementation Guides, process flows, data dictionaries, business requirements, product requirements, and related materials ‐ for stakeholder approval using leading practice methods and tools
• Familiar with DevOps processes for agile product development in a cross-functional environment
• Manage requirements scope via established change control processes
• Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Clinical Informatics Lead to:
o Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders as advised
o Organize stakeholder engagement sessions
o Produce clear and concise documentation for stakeholders
o Produce stakeholder mapping and analysis
o Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into FHIR-based requirements and FHIR profiles
oCreate FHIR-based artefacts, FHIR profiles, and implementation guides (e.g., Simplifier.net and other tools)
• Conduct multi-layer data analysis independently by linking data from multiple health information data sources
• Work with the cross-functional teams to create project artefacts, documentation, and reports
• Conduct research and environmental scans related to the use of FHIR-based technologies
• Available to attend meetings within Pacific Time (PT) working hours
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Minimum 6 years' experience as a senior BA in the healthcare sector in Canada
• Experience working with the Health Authorities in BC would be an asset
• Experience analyzing processes and understanding the interactions between various healthcare systems
• In depth knowledge of pan-Canadian Standards
• In depth working knowledge of FHIR, HL7, APIs and use of Simplifier.net
• In depth working knowledge with XML and/or JSON
• In depth knowledge developing implementation guides
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitating discovery sessions, workshops, developing agendas, requirements elicitation, and facilitating collaboration across a variety of stakeholder groups
• Excellent skills gathering technical requirements, processes, workflows, and conducting analysis
• Excellent organization and time management and documentation skills
• Experience working with SMART on FHIR, authorization and authentication layers
• Ability to understand and develop data mapping documents
• Strong communication skills to support communication between technical and business teams
• Ability to work with operations teams, develop documentation to meet their needs and support the development of training and user resources
• Understanding of compliance and conformance with national standards such as Canadian FHIR Baseline Profile and Pan-Canadian Patient Summary (PS-CA) Specification
