Pela is famous for being the creators of the world's first compostable phone case, Apple watch strap + AirPods case. We are on a continued mission to create a Waste-Free Future designing and creating products that have a graceful end of life.

Opportunity:
As a Brand Marketer at Pela, you will collaborate closely with our Director of Marketing and play a crucial role in shaping our brand's identity and creative strategy. You will be responsible for driving creative direction across various channels, ensuring our brand remains at the forefront of sustainability and innovation. Your ability to understand and tap into current trends and cultural movements will be instrumental in connecting with our target audience effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Leverage contract support/outside vendors as required to achieve goals.
  • Collaborate closely with growth marketing, creative teams and supporting agencies to develop scroll stopping, engaging ads that lead to conversions
  • Partnership Management: Identify and cultivate partnerships with like-minded organizations, causes and brands to drive integrated co-marketing partnerships that amplify our brand message and expand our reach.
  • Brand-Led Design: Provide creative direction to the product design team, translating brand guidelines into compelling visual assets and fresh and on trend case designs. Ensure consistency and alignment with our brand identity across all touchpoints, including packaging, marketing collateral, website, and social media.
  • Creative Input: Actively participate in cross-functional discussions, contributing creative insights and ideas to company goals. Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Support web merchandising by driving the creation of visually captivating assets including product images, banners, graphics and videos that showcase our products and accessories and are aligned with our branding
  • Campaign Calendar Ownership: Develop and manage a comprehensive campaign calendar that aligns with our brand vision and marketing objectives. Craft thoughtfully positioned campaign and product launch messaging and ensure timely execution through coordinating cross-functional efforts across various team members to deliver impactful campaigns.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and teams and work cohesively to achieve company goals
  • Exceptional creative and conceptual thinking abilities, with a keen eye for design aesthetics.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines for critical tasks, you find joy in taking projects across the line
  • A strong passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • Proven experience in brand marketing, creative direction, or a similar role.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • A deep understanding of the consumer shopping journey across the whole purchase funnel and how different creative and messaging supports each stage a consumer is in.
  • Proficient in project management and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent understanding of current cultural trends, social media platforms, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Highly organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills, you are undaunted by opposition
Compensation $69-78K CAD
