Job Summary:
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) has an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional to join our Service Marketing team. This is full time opportunity that reports to Manager, Service Marketing & Promotion. The successful candidate will lead the development and deployment of consistent, brand aligned, omni-channel marketing strategies that confirm Toyota as the trusted choice for Quality Service and Genuine Parts in the hearts and minds of current and future Toyota owners.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Agency Liaison: Lead strategic planning activities and briefings to maintain and improve upon brand aligned, innovative, omni-channel approaches to parts and service promotion. Hold partners accountable to timelines and allocated budget while leading annual evaluation and feedback activities
  • Service Marketing Communications: Lead the strategy, briefing, approval, deployment, and sustainment of brand aligned service marketing promotions/campaigns that promote education, awareness, and consideration of Toyota Genuine Parts & Service.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with other departments/stakeholders/distributors (i.e., Legal, Brand, Toyota Affiliates, Parts Strategy, Service Process Development, Toyota University, Digital, Nameplate, etc.) to create relevant, compliant, and impactful communications that promote continued growth in parts sales and service retention
  • Key Program/Campaign Management: Lead management, sustainment and PDCA activities for key broad impact/multi-faceted programs (Olympics, TRSP Marketing/Rewards, Lifecycle Communications Management (LCM), etc.)
  • Budget: Manage the Service Retention promotional budget including monthly reconciliation, quarterly re-forecasting, and annual planning activities with administrative support from a second marketing team member. Lead annual calculation and provision of tier 2 regional service marketing budgets and manage related purchase order and invoicing activities. Work with tier 2/TDA partners to drive tier 2 agency accountability to BCRs and agreed-upon timelines to promote effective and complete use of allocated regional budgets
  • Aligned Marketing Efforts: Collaborate with tier 1/tier 2 agency partners, dealer advisory/subcommittees, zone representatives, Brand, Nameplate, Digital, and Retail to ensure aligned and complimentary approaches to marketing across all tiers
  • Toyota Dealer Association (TDA): Proactively work with Zone offices and TDAs to support brand aligned advertising across the tiers that maximize parts and service marketing effectiveness, driving service appointment conversions and genuine part sales. Identify partnering opportunities that promote spend efficiencies around brand aligned tactical marketing and encourage the coordinated implementation of brand aligned tactical marketing programs
  • Analysis & PDCA: Lead reporting, measurement and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) for all promotional activities. Analyse key product sales trends to identify and recommend promotional opportunities. Adjust plans as required and deliver performance updates with insights and recommendations for kaizen quarterly
  • Other duties as requested or required
  • Meetings & Conferences: Lead the planning, organization, preparation, and delivery of materials (reporting, performance metrics, insights, presentations, etc.) for various TCI, TDA, Subcommittee, Zone, and Dealer meetings/conferences
  • Business Innovation: Main point of contact for key business enhancements that impact parts and service advertising/communications
What You’ll Bring:
  • Proven ability to initiate and improve work processes to increase efficiency
  • Work well with key stakeholders to drive an aligned approach to communications across the tiers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills – Able to work with multiple partners and on multiple projects on a regular basis
  • Project planning experience – short and long term with vision setting and plans to achieve
  • Digital marketing capability and experience is an asset
  • Capable of managing confidential information
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
  • Knowledge of negotiation – Able to assist in negotiations with new/existing suppliers and partners
  • Proven ability to build successful partnerships
  • Capable of thriving in fast paced environments with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • University/College degree in marketing or related discipline
  • Previous experience in Automotive Marketing and dealership Parts & Service operations preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of related Marketing experience
  • Experience in directing and influencing agency and vendor partners
  • Ability to make insightful recommendations based on data gathered and analyzed
  • Highly proficient in use of Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Power BI, etc.)
  • Ability to start and complete tasks with limited supervision
