Biomechanical Engineering Consultant - Forensics

The ideal candidate

• The position would be based in Calgary, Alberta
• The part-time consulting nature of the biomechanical engineering forensic position would best suit a current M.Sc. or Ph.D. candidate in a biomechanical engineering related discipline; or a University based academic whose expertise and research are focused on some area of biomechanical engineering or injury biomechanics.

Responsibilities

• Presentation of work to clients
• Performing reconstructions of accidents
• Analyzing injury risks associated with motor vehicle collisions and other accidents
• Conducting research and analysis of biomechanical effects of accidents and injuries
• Report writing
• Collaborating with engineers and scientists to verify information

Experience

• Good research skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good report writing skills
• If not already a P.Eng. in Canada; eligibility to become a P.Eng at a future date
• Good presentation skills
