Bi Analyst / Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst/Business Analyst who possesses a broad and holistic thinking mindset, with the ability to speak to both current and future states. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, including proficiency in writing SQL, building dashboards, and developing data-driven examples. They will have an understanding of the current state data landscape/architecture and the ability to determine if appropriate business processes are in place or if something else needs to be implemented.

This role requires a combination of a business analyst and a data analyst with some technical background, with a primary focus on the business side. The ideal candidate will be able to build reports, develop dashboards, and tell a compelling narrative.

As a Data Analyst/Business Analyst, you will face challenges related to undefined business processes and changing requirements. You will be responsible for quickly understanding these changes and translating them into data products/analysis. The successful candidate will have some knowledge of Python scripts (nice to have) and will be proficient in SQL, PowerBI, and Qlik (analytics platform).

You will also understand how models are generated into Qlik, and you will work closely with other team members to ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions.

This is a 12-month contract with options for renewal. The preference is for a local candidate, but we will consider remote candidates if the perfect fit is found. You should be comfortable producing work with lots of iterations/feedback and be able to get up to speak and present data-driven findings to a variety of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand how models are generated into Qlik
• Develop dashboards and reports using PowerBI and Qlik
• Develop a compelling narrative around the data and present findings to stakeholders
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions
• Work with Python scripts
• Write SQL queries to extract data from databases
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions
• Determine if the appropriate business processes are in place or if something else needs to be implemented

Requirements:

• Comfortable producing work with lots of iterations/feedback
• Ability to get up to speak and present data-driven findings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and Qlik
• Ability to determine if appropriate business processes are in place or if something else needs to be implemented
