The Beta Team ensures new products in development are thoroughly validated with an audience of enthusiastic beta testers. We confirm that from a customer perspective, new products are ready to launch. The team needs a Beta Specialist to manage recruiting efforts and guide ongoing participation in each feature beta program. Also, our ongoing beta programs need engaging, relatable content to keep participation high and the feedback flowing.

You will work with Beta Managers and Product Managers to implement the recruitment strategy, ensuring each beta program has beta testers and that each beta tester participates by using the feature, submitting feedback, or reporting bugs. You'll learn how to use new tools such as Taxi, Khoros, and Iterable to improve the execution of ongoing communications and recruiting efforts. Our Betas range from minor feature updates to significant product launches, spanning Hardware to POS to Partnerships to SaaS. Beta Specialists ensure we're working smarter, not harder, and we quickly reach the exit criteria necessary to launch new products to market.

Beta Specialists work closely with Beta Managers, Beta Community Managers, and Product teams to deliver enthusiastic beta testers with high engagement. You will track beta participation, communicate status, and iterate to meet exit criteria before products can launch. Cross-team coordination and learning new technology are necessary.

You will:

• Work with Beta Manager and Community Managers to determine a successful beta recruitment strategy
• Load content in Taxi, recruit the audience list, and complete email campaigns in Iterable.
• Funnel beta feedback to the Beta Manager to create the customer experience story and present recommendations to product teams
• Work with Product teams to determine and create engaging content for our ongoing beta programs that inspires high participation and solicits continuous feedback
• Make steady improvements to the overall recruiting strategy, aiming for high-quality beta participants while driving down time to reach exit criteria, ultimately ensuring we spend more time testing the feature than recruiting for a feature
• Identify potential high-engaged hero sellers and work with Beta Community Manager to recognize and reward
• Own reminder and engagement campaigns to increase participation and feedback
• Iterate and refine existing recruitment strategies to hit beta audience goals
• Track, communicate status on, and monitor all beta participants
• Nudge and re-engage any sellers who have yet to participate or are becoming lurkers

Qualifications

• Experience and comfort in learning new technology and using it with minimal errors
• 2+ years of professional experience in a customer-facing role requiring high-quality writing and responses
• The ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Comms, Product, and the CS Org
• The ability to understand the big picture and build on a granular level
• You go above and beyond to meet the needs of our sellers and our team
• An analytical, growth mindset - You are constantly looking for new and better ways to make an impact
• Familiarity with Google Sheets/Excel and comfort using basic formulas
