Position Profile
We are actively looking for an up-and-coming, event focused, superstar who is looking to contribute and grow in a high-end private club setting.
Established in 1893, Rosedale Golf Club is one of Canada’s most distinguished private golf clubs. The tradition for excellence continues and is enhanced by a magnificent Club House, which opened in 2015.
The function of the Banquet Supervisor is to supervise, organize and direct all aspects of banquet food and beverage service.The Banquet Supervisor will require a strong knowledge of professional service standards, training methods, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. You must maintain good communication with all departments in the Club. The Banquet Supervisor must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays year-round.
Reporting to the Banquet Manager, you will be a key member of the Banquet Management team. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction for the daily operations for events and catering of Rosedale Golf Club. You share responsibility for the banquet operations and ensure an exceptional event experience for the membership. You will be an “ambassador” for the Banquet Department ensuring organizational alignment of food, beverage and wine service and ensure that the quality and consistency of delivery is in accordance with the Club’s overall food and beverage goals. The end result must meet and surpass member experience expectations.
You possess an outgoing, polished, positive and professional manner along with the ability to gain the confidence and respect of your direct report team and the membership through open communication and service delivery. You possess the proven experience to oversee short and long-term food and beverage training, along with product and event enhancements. Knowledge of Jonas, All Seated and other relevant computer systems and cost management controls is essential.
The Banquet Supervisor may also assume some of the Banquet Manager’s duties, in their absence. This may include scheduling, payroll, billing for private functions and function reports.
