We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Compliance and Technical Information team in Mississauga, Ontario.
This is a great opportunity if you would like to address Nissan’s top quality problems in the field, including safety, compliance and top customer satisfaction concerns. In this position, you will get a wide variety of work, covering priority issues on all vehicle models and systems sold in Canada.
Job functions Include but are not limited to:
- Lead the development of a consolidated incident report database (I-Search) to improve speed and accuracy on information gathering.
- Lead the implementation of the ACTIVE program, improving Nissan’s information sharing capabilities with Transport Canada.
- Participate in the campaign decision-making (TM/TC) process, analyzing product and engineering information to determine appropriate field action proposals.
- Lead port modification actions selecting and ordering tools, parts and supplies, providing technical assistance to other interfacing departments and outside groups, and reporting progress and roadblocks.
- Provide formal replies to requests from Transport Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada, working with multiple teams such as Design, Legal and Consumer Affairs to gather information.
- Review Transport Canada’s Public Complaints Database to identify and address new or emerging vital product issues.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to function in a multi-task environment with complex projects and conflicting deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet data analysis (graphs, pivot tables, etc.), presentation, word processing, and other PC applications.
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering area or equivalent years of experience, and knowledge of vehicle technology.
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication and presentation skills are required.
- A minimum of 5 years of related professional experience with in depth understanding of automotive technology.
