Quality Assurance Hot Inspector/Quality Co-ordinator:

To patrol, inspect production units and gather data. To provide support to all Quality Assurance personnel. Verifying incoming raw material to customer specific or industry standard specification including all special test requirements. Assist QA Supervisor in the dimensional verification of plaster casts, first off parts. Implement and maintain gauge calibration and SPC programs. Maintain the quality system documentation to ISO 9001 standards

Skill/Effort Requirements:
- Close attention to details
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard
- Computer literate – Excel, Word, MS Dynamics, and other company specific software
- Ability to work under pressure
- Frequent involuntary interruptions
- Knowledge of quality assurance terminology and procedure
- Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment
- Problem solving techniques and team building abilities
- SPC Knowledge and interpretation from manual and computerized sources
- Working with others at all levels within the company
- Continuous follow up of documentation
- Able to read blue prints, understand various customer specifications
- Ability to make effective and prompt decisions
- Ability to effectively and diplomatically coach, mentor and guide personnel regarding quality & manufacturing
- Ability to oversee and drive multiple projects simultaneously
- Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Able to use hand grinder
- Forging related experience
- Able to meet deadlines as required
- Knowledge of the Health and Safety Act and Regulations
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality principles
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Customer Certificates of Conformity
- Perform internal audits
- Interface effectively and support all departments
- Maintain production/inspection of SPC charts/data
- SPC data entry and compiling new charts
- Assist General Foreman between supervisor shift change as well when foreman is on vacation
- Maintain proper documentation is the current revision and is neat and legible
- Maintain test pieces are logged and issued
- Maintain Steel Suppliers Material Certification
- Measure production product and store data for accessibility
- Assist in calibration, incoming tooling inspection and CMM layout when needed
- Monitor production units for all quality within the company both defence and hammer shops
- Ensure all heat codes and tagging containers is correct
- Maintain Special Test Status Reports
- Maintain up to date quality assurance documents, inspection test plans, customer/supplier correspondence
- Engineering levels, specification requirements etc
- Generate and involved with last off process to determine future tooling condition
- Issue corrective actions when product is non conforming
- Maintain Defence shipments and all paperwork associated
Working Conditions:
