Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate will be working in the Brampton office witha mixture of on and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement is subject to change, based on operational needs.
- Participates in initiatives that improve processes and services including development, implementation, monitoring and improvement.
- Assists with ensuring the reporting of quality issues and process performance to ensure a state of control and compliance to requirements/specifications is maintained.
- Provides on-going support to ensure a state of control and compliance with requirements and specifications is achieved.
- Manages Quality Assurance staff, department and budget, in collaboration with the Manager, Quality Assurance, to ensure effective and efficient use of resources in a positive working environment in which staff feel empowered, challenged and engaged.
- Post-Secondary level science –based education such as a Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from a recognized academic institution or equivalent professional education and experience.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and an ability to perform detailed documentation in an accurate and legible manner.
- Demonstrated analytical problem solving and decision-making skills are required.
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or Team Lead capacity is preferred.
- 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical device or biological manufacturing following Good Manufacturing Practices or in-depth knowledge of a comparable quality management system is required.
- Proven effective interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential material and information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other known software packages.
- Experience leading unionized employees is an asset.
- Familiarity with electronic budget preparation and monitoring.
