Associate Actuary (6 Month Contract)

We are seeking for our Toronto office an Associate Actuary to join the Corporate Actuarial team in the Toronto office.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in the completion of the following:

• IFRS 17 reporting for life, longevity, critical illness, disability and short-term products
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to other local and global projects as a member of the North America Life actuarial team
• PartnerRe’s capital reporting and monitoring process
• Reserve Movement Analysis and Sensitivity Impact Assessment

• Demonstrated analytical, problem-identification and resolution skills with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills & effective communicator (written and oral)
• Ability to handle multiple assignments communicating prioritizations to required levels
• High degree of accountability
• Highest degree of professional ethics
• High degree of personal competence (self-awareness, self-management)
• Ability to communicate with peers and staff
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience modeling in AXIS is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of SQL and R programming an asset
• Minimum of 2 Society of Actuaries exams
