Amazing career opportunity to join a dynamic and growing financial services client with multiple branches throughout BC and Alberta. The newly created role of Assistant Controller will report to the Controller and CFO and oversee a team of up to 5 staff.

This hybrid position will be responsible for financial systems; accounting processes; payment services, treasury management. The Assistant Controller prepares a range of internal and external financial reports, including annual financial statements; regulatory reports in accordance with IFRS; internal management accounts; audit schedules; and accounting functions as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be designated with 3-4 years of public practice experience with a track record in leadership growth. Experience in the financial services industry in a a similar role, overseeing a team is also a match for this role.

Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel and Power BI skills are a definite asset along with a drive to make a difference and the ability to identify and develop areas for process improvements.
