Assistant Controller – Competitive Salary + Benefits – British Columbia

Stepping into the role of Assistant Controller, you'll be plunging into an ocean of financial activities, every day presenting its set of challenges and learnings. This role is not just about numbers but understanding the business, owning your segment, and collaborating wherever necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvements in cash flow monitoring and engage in financial analysis for capital planning.
  • Assist in the year-end audit, system implementations, and process controls.
  • Deliver monthly reports for directors.
  • Analyse financial data, promoting sound organizational decisions.
  • Handle full cycle accounting: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable & Payable, and Payroll.
  • Participate in annual budgeting and external reporting to Provincial and Federal entities.

The Person

  • Analytical, adaptive, and collaborative in nature.
  • Background and reference checks are mandatory for employment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Sage 50 familiarity a plus.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with 5+ years in finance.
  • Adept in financial systems, automation, and conflict resolution.
  • Acquaintance with GAAP and Accounting Standards.
