The Opportunity

AgeCare is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our Accounting Team. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will report to the Team Lead, Accounts Receivable and will be responsible for revenue monthly financial statements, funding, GST, and analytical reporting. This candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance team with general accounting, reporting, variance analysis, auditing, training, and continuous process improvements.

In this role you will be focused on:

• Ensures compliance with government reporting requirements and GST filings.
• Performs tasks to ensure the financial functions are reconciled monthly including cash, accounts receivables, intercompany accounts etc.
• Coordinates the provision of information to external auditors and to other external parties as required.
• Manages the month-end process, variance analysis and account reconciliations.

What You Will Do:

• Posting various Accounts Receivable payments accurately in the system
• Communicate with internal staff to resolve A/R and payment inquiries.
• Preparing & scanning of bank deposits and subsequent posting to the ERP system.
• Complete with month end closing ensuring all payments are recorded and reconciled.

What You Bring:

• Point Click Care experience would be an asset.
• Experience with accounting software, Workday would be an asset.
• Must be able to provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check, or be willing to obtain one.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume AR.
• Experience: 3 – 5 years’ experience in accounts receivable.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
• Education: bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
