Royalty Analyst Jobs

Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company.We are focused on long-term growth through an aggressive exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

We are currently looking for a Royalty Analyst to join our Team. The candidate will work closely with the production and marketing accounting groups to support our Alberta Crown Royalty function.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to yearly Alberta Allowable Cost Audits.
• Assess and enhance the current GCA and C-star filing process.
• Monthly review and recording of the Alberta Crown and APMC invoices.
• Backup monthly revenue, volume and royalty accruals.
• Yearly preparation and submission of Alberta GCA and C-star.
• Review prior year filings for recovery opportunities.
• Support the monthly British Columbia Crown royalty invoice and GORR functions.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of British Columbia Crown reporting would be considered an asset.
• Team oriented individual with a willingness to pitch in whenever and however possible.
• In-depth knowledge of EDI Viewer, Metrix and Excel.
• Can work independently in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and appreciation for tight deadlines.
• 8+ years of experience in Alberta Crown Royalty Reporting.
