Join our team and be part of the changing skies of Canadian aviation WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS: Reporting to the Data Engineer, the Data Analyst will be responsible to collect, analyze, and present data across business units to assist other team members and leadership in making sound decisions. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Build reporting, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality to support the business Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems Work with management to prioritize business and information needs Locate and define new process improvement opportunities Ensure stored data is easily accessible to internal teams Respond to inquiries and requests for information from staff in a timely manner Work closely with leadership teams to create data strategies that support data modeling Identify opportunities to work cross-functionally Build strong and influential internal relationships to help ensure business objectives are being met Remove corrupted data and review through root cause analysis WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE: Proven working experience as a Data Analyst BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics Experience with data visualizations and analytics tools such as PowerBI Experience with MS Azure (Data Bricks, Synapse, etc) Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), and programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks) Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc) Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings Ability to work independently and able to work on teams cross-functionally Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through with important projects Strong attention to detail Exceptional written and oral communication skills Ability to problem-solve with a track record of producing results Exceptional time management skills Ability to present complex information in a simplified way to various audience WHAT YOU WILL GET FROM US: Industry competitive salary The chance to be part of building something from the ground up.
