We support an extensive range of Capital Markets products and services including Fixed Income (FX, Rates, Credit, Muni, Cash and Derivatives) where Citi is consistently a dominant top 3 player in the market, Equity (Cash, Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Futures, Listed Derivatives, FXPB) where Citi has a significant growth program to continue to build out its capabilities and services; and Syndicates where we support both FI and EQ new issues and IPOs. We play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first-class experience in service performance and strategic partnership.

Job Purpose:

Markets Operations Technology team is looking for a Lead Project Engineer with experience in developing High Volume Distributed Realtime Event Processing platforms. Person in this role will lead the development, and delivery of a critical initiative involving central data processing platform to house critical transactional data from multiple business processes and asset classes and make the data available over Enterprise Search Engines and Data Fabric.

• You will also get the opportunity to liaise between key technology and business partners across Markets Operations and Tech, and liaise with the Citi Technology Teams which would include several SaaS offerings and Hardware teams and also interact with the Technology Experts of different Product Vendors.
• This is a Vice President role within the ICG Markets Tech team. You will be the Lead Project Engineer responsible for the leadership and management of a diverse set of talent comprising of 20+ team members globally.
• You will be leading the development, and delivery of our central data processing platform to house critical transactional data from multiple business processes and asset classes. This is a critical firm wide initiative.
• This is a highly visible role for a key initiative wherein you would get opportunity to work on multiple asset classes and business functions, interact with many teams and stakeholders at senior level

Responsibilities:

• Lead a culture of innovation & experimentation, support full software lifecycle that incorporates the best of technology approaches & delivery methodologies
• Provide thought leadership on how to grow the platform.
• Influence technical architecture and negotiate/communicate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
• Ensure proper code governance using GIT/Bitbucket
• Work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to drive execution and delivery
• Drive Infrastructure Assessment, Forecasting and Setup for the applications.
• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
• Continuous Collaboration and co-ordination with teams spread across geography.
• Ensure Code quality and proper coverage is maintained, using tools like Secure Assist, Sonar etc.
• Complete Ownership & Responsibility for end-to-end solution of Realtime High Volume Event Processing Platform.
• Actively participate in brainstorming session and provide solid inputs to the team and ensure best practices are followed within the team.
• Manage team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team
• Validate detailed requirements, working through solutions and managing execution and rollout of the platform. Responsible for the application meeting project specifications and client’s expectations
• Hands-on Development opportunity across the latest niche technologies like ELK, Kafka, Mongo, Microservices.

Qualification and Skills:

• Experience in operating with Global team
• Proficient in Software design principles
• Exceptional communicator who loves working with people, confident communicating at all levels from an individual team to the entire enterprise
• 5+ years’ experience in developing and delivering large scale microservices based architecture using Spring Boot and Spring JMS is must.
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of working as a Hands-On technical leader working on complex Realtime, Distributed, High Volume, Event Processing systems in a large organization, structuring, establishing, and leading multiple product-centric development teams
• Experienced in driving software delivery and transformation through Agile practices and processes, with a focus of establishing Continuous Delivery culture and process
• Experience working in Oracle and MongoDB.
• 5+ years’ experience working in at least one messaging/event processing system like Tibco EMS, Kafka etc. in a high-volume environment.
• Proficient in managing Application lifecycle
