Job Description

Our client, a company that provides hospitality services to the airline industry, is looking for Airline Customer Support Specialists to join their team. In this role, you will work onsite processing hotel and ground transportation, answering questions, resolving customer complaints, and negotiating with vendors to ensure the best solution for both parties. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience providing courteous customer service in a fast-paced environment. You have great listening skills and understand the importance of delivering top service to your clients. This position is fully onsite in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You must be available to work weekends and holidays, as operations run 24/7.


  • Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 3pm – 11 pm.
  • Pay: $21 USD
  • Paid training in Melville, NY for up to 4 weeks.


Responsibilities:


  • Research and present solutions to satisfy client needs based on facts.
  • Serve as on-site liaison with the airline partner, providing support, guidance, and training.
  • Process client requests received through system.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of work methods and systems to provide high level customer service.
  • Effectively use phone, email, fax, and Reservation Systems to track and provide solutions.
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the best outcome for the client and company.
  • Achieve and maintain passing score on initial and ongoing training.
  • Follow-up on all client requests and transactions to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Adapt to needs arising from the changing dynamics of schedules and unforeseen situations.
  • Resolve client disagreements in a calm and professional manner.
  • Assess customer needs and respond in a timely and professional manner.
  • Alert supervisor on all items of critical nature that require management involvement to solve and/or avoid potential challenges that may impact either the client or company adversely.


Qualifications:


  • Able to work overtime if needed.
  • Candidates must be a Canadian National to apply for this position.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible work schedule including availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Experience out of hotels or airline industry.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Available to work extended hours and serve “On Call” as needed.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills with professional telephone etiquette.
  • Prior Customer Service experience in fast paced client facing role.
