The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the accounts receivable function and other accounting duties as assigned, as well as assisting the leader of Finance with month end, quarter end and year end close reconciliations and other reporting requirements.

In This Role, You’ll Get To:


  • Lead contribution to the month end, quarter end, year-end close process
  • Assist the Finance leader in preparing revenue variance analysis for senior management review
  • Administer bank transactions daily and oversee reconciliation of the statements, also report weekly cash balances to the Finance leader
  • Other duties or projects as assigned
  • Assist the Financial Analyst in preparing Cash Flow forecast and work with AP to provide inputs for expense forecast
  • Oversee maintenance by AP for a list of vendor contracts for the Company and ensure the expiry dates and terms are updated as and when changes are made.
  • Check if Accounts Payable team is recording and remitting vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist billing/accounts receivable where applicable and coach accounting administrators as required, especially during their transition period.
  • Set collection metrics and work with the team to ensure targets are met/exceeded. Report the results to the Finance leader on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure that transactions are processed, and proper approvals received in accordance with company policy, including follow up with managers at various levels
  • Continuously improve billing process, ensure prompt response to customers and compile feedback to assess any changes required. Instilling a sense of urgency and customer friendliness is key.
  • Review company expense reports and corporate credit card audit process as needed
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Provide coaching and development to the AR team ensuring goals are established and continuous feedback provided for improved performance
  • Oversee the accounts receivable function ensuring accurate and timely actions taken to minimize number of overdue accounts
  • Responsible for GST and income tax return filing and ensure all statutory/regulatory payments are made within the prescribed deadlines.
  • Ensure processes are in place for billing accuracy, closely work with the Financial Analyst and the billing team to review reconciliations and revenue recognition as per required accounting standards
  • Prepare and enter month end journal entries
  • Play a key role in periodic reviews and audits conducted by corporate
  • Prepare and distribute relevant month end /Quarter end reports



We Are Looking For An Individual With:


  • Bilingualism would be an asset (English/French)
  • Proficient in the use of computers and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail
  • 5+ years accounting supervisory experience, preferably in B2B/SAAS environments
  • Ability to work with challenging clients
  • CPA Designation preferred
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work well under pressure to meet varying deadlines; at times working additional hours as needed to meet tight deliverables (month-end, quarter-end etc.)
  • Able to work well independently and in a team
