JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Accounting and Administration Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting duties for multiple entities within the group of companies. This a lead accounting role and must be comfortable working on junior and senior level duties.
You will have the following key responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statement packages.
- Record month-end adjusting journal entries.
- Offer variance analysis and commentaries on monthly and year-to-date results, comparing actuals to the budget.
- Process and monitor full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including credit card reconciliation.
- Prepare various reconciliations, including bank, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, capital assets, accounts payable, and accrued liabilities.
- Conduct cash flow analysis.
- Manage income statement schedules, with a particular focus on revenue accounts.
- Collaborate with external accounting firm/auditors to ensure on-time completion of year-end financial statements and tax returns.
- Identify and resolve accounting and tax issues with external accountant.
- Process timesheets and handle semi-monthly payroll.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and perform other tasks as required.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly GST/HST and PST returns.
- Provide accurate information and timely assistance to external accounting firm/auditors.
- Process employee expense reports.
- Maintain monthly working papers and reconciliations for general ledger accounts.
- Generate monthly invoices for customers/clients.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meeting ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints.
- Software knowledge of Sage, ADP Workforce is highly desired.
- 3-5 years of full cycled, end to end accounting experience.
- Proficiency in managing and prioritizing a complex workload while adhering to performance goals.
- Must be open to travelling to Burnaby and north Vancouver for onsite meetings.
- MUST be comfortable with working on the entire accounting cycle – from AP to senior level reporting.
COMPENSATION:

- $75,000 - $90,000 (Open to negotiation depending on the candidate’s skill level
