Job Description
  • Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including the preparation of financial projections and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making

Client Details

The client is located in Oakville, Ontario and works in the construction industry.

Description

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-makin
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including the preparation of financial projections and variance analysis

Profile

* University degree in Accounting/Business with a professional accounting designation (CPA)

* Strong understanding of accounting standards (ASPE / IFRS) and internal controls

* Experience with financial statement audits

* Reporting at a portfolio level, including lease and operations reporting

* Demonstrated strong technical competence in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

* Experience with Yardi
