Accounting Intern
Ferguson Construction is a premier Design-Build contractor that has constructed a wide variety of large and small commercial, industrial, educational and healthcare projects throughout Ohio and Indiana for more than 100 years. We are currently recruiting an Accounting intern to work in our corporate Accounting office based in Sidney, Ohio.
This position will report to our Chief Financial Officer and will primarily have responsibility for supporting Accounts Payable invoicing and general processing. This might include correspondence with our Project Managers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy of documentation. The individual selected will work side by side with other Accounts Payable administrators; there will be strong support to teach and coach someone without any Accounts Payable experience. In addition, this person will have opportunity to support special projects as they may arise to support our CFO.
The position is best suited for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, and an Accounting major is required. We are willing to work around class schedules. Work is on-site in Sidney. We can support schedule flexibility for the intern to work on a part-time basis 10 – 25 hours per week. Depending on class schedules, we are also open to working with someone to employ them throughout the academic year while they are still in school. We are also open to employing someone full-time as course schedules may permit during the year.
The position will last a minimum duration of 3 months, and if the selected student works out and schedules permit the assignment could last longer than that.
Responsibilities

• Correspond closely with project managers and possibly vendors and subcontractors
• Process Accounts Payable invoices

• Concrete and structural steel design or engineering experience a plus.
