Madrone Environmental Services is a growing mid-size environmental consulting practice based in British Columbia. Our head office is located on Vancouver Island in the Cowichan Valley. Role of Accounting Technician:

The Technician supports the delivery of the full financial functions of the organization. This includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, project accounting support, etc. They also work on developing, documenting and implementing internal control policies and procedures.

Your role will entail:

• Providing recommendations on improving systems
• Documenting and implementing processes
• Completing full cycle accounting duties
• Providing support on financial queries from staff and clients

Qualifications and Skills:

• Attention to detail, above average analytical and organizational skills
• Client minded with a customer service background
• Self-motivated, pro-active and self-directed
• QuickBooks experience an asset.
• Formal bookkeeping certifications
