Travel Counselors are responsible for providing customers with advice and assistance in planning and booking travel arrangements. They must be knowledgeable about the travel industry and have excellent customer service skills. Duties include:

• Consulting with customers to determine their travel needs and preferences
• Researching and recommending suitable travel options
• Booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel services
• Providing customers with information on destinations, customs, and regulations
• Assisting customers with visa and passport applications
• Keeping up-to-date on travel industry trends and developments
• Resolving customer complaints and inquiries
Skill Requirements
• Knowledge of the travel industry
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in travel and tourism or related field preferred
• Certification from a travel industry association may be required
Knowledge
• Knowledge of the travel industry
• Knowledge of customer service principles
