Strong leasing, marketing, and property management skills

Supervision and site management of the building, including common areas, to ensure the security and safety of all Residents and employees

To deliver any notices as required by the stipulations in the Residential Tenancy Act or Management’s instructions.

To report all acts of vandalism and/or damage immediately to the Senior Property Managers and to local police where appropriate.

Oversee and manage deficiencies within the new building

Dispute resolution cases when necessary, which requires a strong working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act.

Prepare P.O.s for approval by Property Manager

Strong maintenance and customer services skills are an asset

Check life safety systems, complete fire log book

Inspect boiler and electrical rooms and supply inventory

Inspect parking levels and exterior grounds

Inspect floors and grounds and list deficiencies

Strong People management & liaising abilities

On how to maintain personal life balance, stress management, anger management, how to overcome depression, therapies, etc.

Communicate with the management team on a regular basis to discuss observations and insights, risks and concerns

Additional certifications in a range of therapies

Minimum 7 years of experience in wellness or psychotherapy field

Experience developing strategy and innovation in wellness programs, preferably within a corporate or setting or business environment

Minimum one to two years management experience in Long-term Care

Manages unionized and non-unionized contracted staff

Performs rotational weekend and holiday on-call manager duties

Networking with educational institutions, service groups, faith organizations, media and local businesses

Knowledge of the concepts of Activation and Therapeutic Techniques, Restorative care, Gentle Persuasive Approach, Montessori-based programing and event planning

Market, show and rent apartments, providing related information and forms and collecting applications and deposits as required;

Ensure the timely collection and deposit of rental payments; initiate follow-up where payments are not made;

Administer and complete minor maintenance and Work Order repairs;

Review apartments at turnover and prepare a scope of work consistent with established renovation standards;

Minimum 5 years management/progressive leadership experience preferably in the Community sector and unionized environment.

Knowledge in program development, evaluation, and financial management.

M.S.W. or Post-Graduate degree in a related area and/or combination of relevant education and experience

Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with client data management systems.

Personal knowledge and lived/living experience of issues that affect communities and populations served by WoodGreen is a strong asset

Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the community sector, mental health, addictions, geriatrics, caregiver needs and concerns, and related issues.

Minimum 5 years management/progressive leadership experience preferably in the Community sector and unionized environment.

Knowledge of Ontario Residential Care Association standards and programs and relevant government legislation and standards.

Post nursing education in gerontology or other related program.

Self-directed and team-oriented, with strong organization and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in organizational management in residential care
