Overview


Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the Resident Manager Team is responsible for the professional operation, management, administration and leasing of a Centurion owned and operated apartment community in Oshawa, ON.


Responsibilities


  • Be on call on a rotational schedule on weekends and after hours for emergencies (i.e. fire, flood).
  • Ensure vacant apartments are always in a state of “rent-readiness”, clean and fully prepared for move-in;
  • Market, show and rent apartments, providing related information and forms and collecting applications and deposits as required;
  • Review apartments at turnover and prepare a scope of work consistent with established renovation standards;
  • Administer and complete minor maintenance and Work Order repairs;
  • Keep the building common areas and grounds clean and free of litter and debris; and
  • Ensure the timely collection and deposit of rental payments; initiate follow-up where payments are not made;


Requirements


  • Ability to lift, push and pull heavy objects, including garbage bins, furniture, and appliances.
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve difficult issues in a timely manner; and
  • A passion for excellence in customer service delivery;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented; able to resolve problems using facts, sound reasoning and common sense;
